Making customize door handles begins with an idea. Once we have the idea, we use state-of-the-art graphic and engineering design software to render the concept for the custom handles.
Once we have the approved design, we move into manufacturing the product. We use CNC precision routing equipment to machine the part. Water Jet cutting equipment to obtain the desirable silhouette and then we use a powder coating process to permanently protect the handle for durability. Our custom handles are fabricated by machinists, welders, casters, finishers, and assemblers before it is ready to hang on your door. All proudly crafted in the USA.
Customize door handles are made from a range of materials. Some of the most common materials used are acrylic, wood, aluminum, stainless steel, and brass. If there is a special material you would like to use, please contact us to research the possibility of creating the handle with the specified material needed.
The possibilities for designing a custom door handle are endless, and it might seem overwhelming. We are confident that we can help you design your custom handle. To help you through this process, we recommend starting by completing and submitting this quote form to us. We will then contact you for a free design consultation.
The consultation will give us the information we need to understand your request. Once we know what direction to take with the design, we send you a free conceptual drawing in PDF form. If you like our design, and you want to place an order, a CAD drawing, which is a 3D rendered design of the customized door handle, will be provided next for approval. If you don’t like the design, we will try again.

Yes, all our door handles are compliant with the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA).
No, you do not need a special permit to use our door handles, nor do they need to be inspected by anyone before you install them.
You can have a wood door, a glass door, or a metal door. You do not need a “special” door.
Main Entrance Custom Handles (MECH) warrants only to the original customer that the products will be free from defects in material and workmanship for a period of 12 months from the date of shipment/delivery of products. The customer shall be obligated to promptly report any failure to conform to this warranty in writing to (MECH) within the warranty period provided above. MECH’s sole obligation under this warranty is limited to repairing or replacing, at our option, the defective products.
MECH’s products (excluding Living Finish) are warrantied to be free from tarnishing, flaking, and discoloring for a period of one (1) year from date of purchase if installed in a non-coastal environment. If installed within 15 miles of a coastal area it is warranted for one year only. All MECH products must be maintained according to the care instructions and remain in possession of the original Customer.
Conditions in the atmosphere can cause staining and alkaline etching that varies by geography. In addition, the frequency of use will cause the finish to age in appearance. These finish changes are indicative of normal wear and tear and reflect the nature of a living finish. No finish warranty is offered on MECH living finish products, which are designed to age and improve over time. Raw brass, oil rubbed bronze, stainless steel, other non-lacquered finishes and natural wood are considered living finishes.
Exclusions from Warranty
All products are manufactured from the finest quality materials; however, these products are inclined to indentation and imperfections due to specific processes, the plasticity of the material and the elements of human intervention when manufacturing the product.
This limited warranty does not apply to:
1- MECH products used for any other purposes for which they are not designed.
2- MECH products that have been altered or repaired without MECH’s prior written approval.
3- MECH products misused, abused, or unreasonable or extraordinary use or maintenance.
4- MECH products which have been inappropriately installed, stored, maintained, or operated in violation of written guides and instructions provided by MECH to Customer.
5- MECH products which have been subjected to improper temperature, humidity, or other environmental conditions, including the effect of normal wear and tear.
6-MECH products having been affected due to use of paints, solvents, or other chemicals is not covered by this Warranty (see Care Instructions).
7- MECH products that are used in combination with other manufacturers and may cause failure to their product is not covered by this Warranty.
8- This warranty is not transferable.
Any product believed to be defective as covered by this warranty may not be returned without prior written authorization from MECH. Claims must be made in writing within 30 days from the discovery of the alleged defect(s), and must briefly describe the defect, a proof of purchase needs to be included and be received during the period of the warranty as defined herein. The claimant must provide other information and evidence reasonably required by MECH and, if requested, must permit inspection of the product by MECH or its representatives. If, after investigation, MECH determines that the claim is valid, the remedy will be performed by or on behalf of MECH. Limitation of Liabilities Except as expressly provided in this warranty, (a) MECH makes no warranties, and disclaims all, warranties, representations and guarantees (whether express, implies or statutory), including, but not limited to, any implies warranty of merchantability or fitness for a particular purpose, and (b) MECH shall not be obligated or liable for labor or other costs related to installation, repair or replacement or for lass of, or damage to, any material which is not sold by Main Entrance Custom Handles, LLC. MECH shall not, in any event, be liable for any consequential or incidental damages suffered by purchaser. There are a few states that do not allow exclusion of implied warranties, exclusion or limitation of incidental or consequential damages or limitations on the length of an implied warranty, and therefore some of all of the last sentence under the above heading, “Remedies” and the immediately preceding two sentences may not apply.
During our consultation process, we make every attempt to guarantee your door handle will fit the door we are designing the handle for. In the odd event it doesn’t fit, or you move your business, and you want to take your custom handle with you, we offer an adjustable system, at an additional cost, that will solve most applications.
Custom door handles are as easy to maintain as regular door handles. All wooden and metal handles are protected with a clear polyurethane coat that is UV and heat resistant, or they are powder-coated, which gives it military-grade protection. Just wipe it down with a damp cloth.
Wooden handles are lacquered, so they must be cleaned with a damp cloth. All other handles must be cleaned with denatured alcohol.
We provide each client with simple installation procedures for our custom handles. We also have YouTube videos to show the step-by-step process for installing our customized handles. If additional support is needed, we guide you through the installation process.
We strive to ensure all of our customers receive the high-quality hardware they need for their project, and we even provide the tools. We deliver nothing less than high-quality, value, and style in all of our hardware and accessories.
The time frame to create a custom door handle varies. If you are wanting a completely custom door handle where we are creating your customized door handle design, you can expect it to take about four weeks. If we are using pre-cut shapes as the starting point, you can expect it to take about two weeks.
All orders are shipped by either Fed Ex or UPS, and they are insured.

Main Entrance Custom Handles (ME) products are made with quality materials and meet strict standards. It is important that the products be cared for during and after installation to increase durability.
Caring for Stainless Steel
Even though there are many advantages with stainless steel, it is steel, and steel will rust, therefore cleaning is paramount, especially in coastal areas. For resistance to corrosion the surface of the stainless steel must be kept clean. Washing with soap and warm water followed by a clean water rinse is usually enough for domestic and architectural conditions. For slight scratches, use medium grit scouring pad and go with the grain.
Caring for Plated and Powder-Coated Finishes, Brass
To maintain the superior finish of your Main Entrance Custom Handles products, please ensure that only a damp cloth is used with diluted, mild soap to remove any stains or fingerprints. To avoid damage, regularly wipe products with a damp cloth, and dry thoroughly as part of general cleaning routing.
Caring for Acrylic
Do not use window cleaning with ammonia, gasoline, denatured alcohol, carbon tetrachloride, or acetone, which can cause minute cracks to the acrylic. A solution of soap and water can be used safely when cleaning the acrylic. Gently blow away any loose dust or dirt from the acrylic’s surface. Use the soap and water solution with a dampened non-abrasive, non-contaminating, lint-free soft cloth, microfiber cloth or cellulose sponge. Rinse well with clean water, and blot dry with a chamois, microfiber cloth or damp sponge to prevent water spotting. Note: Grease, oil and tar may be removed with a good grade of hexane, naphtha or kerosene. Be sure to wash these solvents off quickly to prevent damage to the acrylic.
Caring for Natural Wood
For caring for natural wood, dust the wood weekly with a soft, dry, all-cotton cloth. Do not use polishes or oils over your coat of protective wax. When needed re-apply Paste Wax according to the rate of “wear and tear” your grip receives. Avoid waxing engraved areas.

We will allow order cancellations within 24 hours of the order placement. Please send us an email at firstname.lastname@example.org with your order number and the reason for cancellation.
Cancellation for Convenience
After agreed upon deposit is received, if after 6 months from submitted deposit, the customer is not responsive therefore causing delay in project, Main Entrance Custom Handles l has the right to terminate the project and all monies in deposit is surrendered to the company.
Our attention to detail in design, material and construction is unyielding. And so is our commitment to customer satisfaction. We understand that there are times when you need to return your order and by permitting you to do so we allow for total customer satisfaction. We will do our best to help you through this process, but it is important that you follow the guidelines listed below. Please inspect your order immediately upon receipt. If there is any damage caused by shipping, your order was filled or shipped incorrectly, or you ordered incorrectly, you (the original purchaser) must notify us within 48 hours of receipt of the order.
Please email us at orders@mecustomhandlescom or contact customer service at 888-384-2034 to obtain an RMA (Return Merchandise Authorization) number. The RMA # must be obtained before any product can be returned/exchanged. Absolutely no product will be accepted for return without this RMA #. Any item(s) returned without an RMA # may be refused. Requests to return item(s) must be received within 30 days of receipt of the purchase.
The return must be freight prepaid and received by ME within 14 days of issuance of the RMA # in order to receive credit. After receiving your RMA # you may ship your return along with a copy of your original Invoice/Sales Order/Order Confirmation and RMA #/Form
Please note that we take every precaution to make sure that your product arrives to you in excellent condition and we expect the same when you are returning the product.
The product must be sent back in its original, undamaged packaging in unused, re-saleable condition. Hardware that has been installed, or not returned in the original package cannot be returned. Damaged items due to improper packaging or mishandling will not be refunded. Packages with obvious damage will be refused.
Once we receive the return item(s) in our warehouse an inspection will be made. If it is received in resalable condition, a refund will be issued minus the restocking fee of 25% and the original shipping cost. Refunds may take up to 7-10 business days.
If for some reason we sent you the wrong item(s) or if you received a damaged/defective product, we will arrange to have it returned. Once the product has been returned to us, we will ship out a replacement product and cover the shipping cost.
Returns will not be authorized for custom “Made to Order” products and/or products built to a specific customer requirement such as laser engraved, custom length and/or custom finish.
Custom order items may not be returned unless defective or damaged during shipment.

Prices do not include taxes, duties or shipping which may be changed without notice.
Prior to start of production all customers are subject to 60% down payment for each order with the balance due prior to delivery for all orders. - Visa, MasterCard, and American Express payments are accepted. Credit card arrangements are subject to change. We reserve the right to reject and correct typographic errors on orders.

Shipping and Delivery for Standard Products
Main Entrance Custom Handles (ME) understands that getting your item(s) in a timely manner is important, so we process your order swiftly. Although there is no guarantee; we typically ship standard item(s) within two (2) weeks of purchase confirmation. You will receive your items within 4-5 business days of shipment via UPS. We are determined to ship your product as quickly as possible, and once the shipping process begins, we are unable to make any changes to your order.
Shipping and Delivery for Custom Products
Custom products have varying times between the initiation and completion of a production process, depending on design, material and finish requirements. You will be notified of the time between initiation and completion of product prior to ordering. Custom products ship via the same method as our standard products.
We ship via UPS Ground as our standard. When you place your order and select a UPS shipping option, a shipping price and delivery date will be calculated based on volume of order and delivery address. Any charges in excess of normal transportation that result from services requested by the receiving party are the responsibility of the Customer.
Expedited shipping is available at an additional charge.
We offer special “rush rates” if you need a project completed right away. Your project would be moved to the front of the line. Our Rush Rates are:
- Minimum charge of $150 for orders off $550 or less.
- 20% of the net order amount up to a $500 fee or $2,500 net order
- Orders over $2,500 will be determined on a case by case basis
Tracking Your Order
A tracking number will be emailed to you, once your order leaves our warehouse. It takes one business day to activate tracking codes. Receiving Your Shipment
Main Entrance Custom Handles (ME) takes care in packaging our products and although these items are packaged properly, in some instances transit-related damage may occur. Please inspect your order carefully when it arrives. If you find that your merchandise was damaged, you may choose to refuse the delivery and report it to our customer service department immediately. You must contact us within 48 hours of delivery to handle all claims, if any defects in a product are found after receiving the delivery, and is not due to mishandling by the carrier or purchaser, please call customer service department at 888-384-2034 with any questions or concerns.
